To further facilitate ease of setup and use, Gerris has developed comprehensive training guides, videos and a dedicated support forum.

Gerris marks it's fifth anniversary! We've been in business for five years - thanks to the loyalty of our customers, support from various manufacturers and dedication of our staff. Besides confirming to the industry that we plan to be here for the long haul, we can also report that our web-based software only had a total down time of 15 minutes in these past five years. That's a lot more reliable than software installed on an office computer...

Backing up data to users' machine. Responding to continual concern regarding where a customer's data resides, how secure it is and fears around losing access, Gerris delivers an "industry first" solution. Door Boss users can now download all their data to their own machine and thus maintain their own backup. And, the backup is in Excel spreadsheet format, so the customer can actually run their business directly from these spreadsheets. Gerris still maintains it's own offsite backups on a daily basis.

Speeding up the quote process. Few people want to spend a lot of time on a quote that has a low probability of being awarded. Gerris has developed a new "Rapid Quote" function specifically to address this need. Absolute minimal entry coupled with the Door Boss' powerful pricing and presentation features allow you to pump out professional-looking quotes quickly and easily. And if you do get the job, the Rapid Quote can be quickly detailed and turned into a regular contract job.

Gerris survives the black-out. The Door Boss survived the black-out that affected most of Ontario, Ohio and New York, with no down-time. As advertised, the data storage centre's generators kicked in, providing uninterrupted service.
July 2004
Gerris delivers new functionality to deal with continually changing steel surcharge. Door Boss users can update item prices to reflect surcharge and discount for an entire manufacturer in a matter of seconds. A second function allows project managers to instantly identify items on in-progress jobs and quotes which have been affected by the change. This not only allows quick response to surcharge and discount changes but it identifies and tracks the financial implications.
January 2004
Gerris unveils their new website. Focus is on communicating the fact that we increase productivity while automating the entire business process, all for a small monthly fee. The website communicates our value proposition more clearly - the majority of business automation software is extremely expensive with dubious return on investment.
