The system is also available for purchase.
How do I pay?
Your monthly payment is automatically charged to a major credit card via Paypal. We have no direct access to your account.
What if I don't want a web based solution?
The system can be purchased and installed on your own server.
Is there any commitment
As much as we appreciate your business, you are free to quit at any time. Simply let us know and your system will remain active untill the end of the month you have paid for.
What about equipment costs?
With the web based Door Boss all you need is the most basic computer with an Internet connection. For this reason there are no compatibility issues with different operating systems (windows 98,ME,XP or even Mac). Some systems require a dedicated server, initial purchase and configuration costing $3-5,000 and $1,000 per year or more for maintenance.
What about security?
On your server or ours, security on the web based Door Boss is far superior than virtually any distributor’s in house computer. Your vital company data doesn’t just float somewhere in cyberspace but resides in a professionally managed facility used by large institutions and other security sensitive industries.
While security is up to very a high standard we offer the added peace of mind of back-ups on demand, by you, to your computer, in a functional spreadsheet format.
But I'm told I need a network
As a web based system you inherently get all of the network benefits and more, without the headaches and cost.
How will this work with our branch office(s)?
A web based system offers many possibilities for centralizing and de-centralizing of various functions. Contact a Gerris representative to discuss the possibilities.
What about system upgrades?
Upgrades are a thing of the past, as our customers will always be using the latest version of the system.
What if I want to take a job file home to work on it?
Users can access the system from anywhere they can find an Internet connection. Working at home, on the road or checking on an order from the field are all things other systems can offer.
Will my take-offs take longer?
Gerris has developed a rapid entry take-off system that is totally mouse driven and is faster than manual methods. Standard door applications can be entered at speeds most estimators only dream of.
Remember, we only want you to input the information once from take-off to invoice.
How does the system handle addendums and change orders?
The Door Boss first provides the current status of products affected by the change. Considerations such as: product already on site, on hand or on order, allow you to accurately price these types of changes, based on current schedule information.
The system defaults to original pricing for credits and extras but allows you to manually adjust pricing to compensate for the cost of processing changes.
Quotations are faxed, emailed and printed right from your computer and then approved upon acceptance. Once approved the change becomes part of the job both physically and financially.
Naturally a complete historical record of changes is kept for easy reference.
Do I need a high-speed Internet connection to use the Door Boss?
No. A standard dial up connection will perform at speeds that will make you think the software resides on your computer. High speed Internet will, of course, make it even faster for some functions.
Who is your target customer?
Our target customer is a door and hardware distributor who is currently using a manual system to manage operations or is not happy with their current syaytem. They have considered the advantages of a dedicated software package but have not proceeded due to the huge initial outlay of cash. Our target customer also fears the learning curve associated with the systems currently available, and has heard the implementation horror stories of other firms. Our system offers a user-friendly pay as you go solution to his concerns.
